NOOB DAY - Saturday, March 20th 2010
This is a sign up page for everyone on the forum who plans on attending Noob Day with us this year.
Gates will be opening at 7AM. This year's Noob Day looks to be one of the biggest they have had yet. Last year they had over 400 people in attendance and there will be more people this year. The event is to allow new players to come out and experience the game of Airsoft.
We will have a tent area setup at Noob Day. It'll be hard to miss all the guys dressed alike hanging out by the big "
Gun Devils" sign, so please make sure to stop by and see us.
Some tips for the Noobs Attending-Make sure to bring a Green Shirt (Camo) and a Black Shirt. You never know what team you could end up on (Green or Black) so it's always best to have both with you.
-
Bring Plenty of Water!!! -Wear comfortable shoes, hiking boots work better than tennis shoes.
-Wear BDU's if you have them, or dark colored clothing you don't mind getting dirty.
-Dress in layers. It's going to be colder starting out and warming up, so this way you can remove layers as you need.
-If you have the ability get a sling for your weapon. There are times you'll be doing a lot of walking around so it's nice to have your hands free as you walk around.
-I highly recommend gloves if you have them. Anything is better than nothing but a thin glove is the best so you can still use your weapon. Taking shots in the fingers hurt!
-Wear good eye protection. Your eyes are something you can't replace. We recommend full seal goggles similar to the type that ESS makes.
-With the temperature changing and you running around your goggles or glasses are going to fog up. It's something that can be avoided with a little planning. Little things like Fog Tech, or other anti fog products are good to use and will help prevent the fogging effect. Most of these you can find at Wal-Mart in the car products area, or around their Glasses area. Another thing you can do is turn your ball cap around, the bill of your cap can trap heat in your glasses and cause them to fog.
-Bring a chair to sit in, like a foldable beach chair. There will be plenty of breaks between games and for lunch. It's nice to have a place to sit down instead of the ground.
-Lastly, arrive early around 6:30AM because there are going to be a lot of people trying to get parking spots. If you have friends that live close to you carpool to save space. The early bird gets the worm, and the better parking spots!
Finally, if you have any extra questions about what gear to bring, or questions about the field just ask. We've been attending Bad Karma and other major events for some time and are always happy to help. We were new once too!
If you want you can post your question here, email us, or call our team number (615) 852-6486 and chat with us.
We look forward to seeing you there!**Guys, if you are on the team there is no need to post here, just for others who are joining us.**Attending-----------
