For pistols, I stick with KJW or TM. A bunch of the guys got Glocks right before Irene VI, but I don't know what brand. What I want from a pistol is reliability, personally. A pistol is a backup weapon that should work in all situations, so when I look for a new pistol, I want to make sure that it won't quit out on me.

Those glock's were KJW's.

Wow, kick ass

I'd suggest staying away from TM altogether, just not a good buy anymore...  For pistols, KWA, KSC, and KJW are some of the best brands out there.

Ghost,

Thanks for giving us a heads up...  We've got a non-airsoft FX that day and don't think we'll be able to make it as a team, sorry.

Keep us in the loop on future stuff, we'd love to come up and play with you guys again.

This is a programming cable for a Motorola Jedi series and a few other models which use the same connector....  I know none of us have any of those radios already.

The cut is a little bit different between the two...  Propper seems to hold it's color better...  I've been wearing mine for 3 years with no problems...  It's a personal choice, we provide a link to the propper because of the cost and bdu.com has very quick shipping to here in Middle TN...  but we've also got guys running tru-spec and love it.

Fireman,

No problem I'll throw the other in my box for ya when I get back.

JayC,

Thanks but I'm actually doing pretty good not a whole lot that I need that isn't provided for us over here. Food is plentiful and its free and I am trying to stay away from the snacks and get back into some semblence of good shape before I get home lol. I am however looking for a place that makes some quality T-shirts I want to have some made for my section once I get the graphics completed, so if anyone knows of a place that does good work at reasonable prices and who'll ship to an APO address please let me know.

Bob

I'll get the name of the place that makes the t-shirts for our restaurants....  worse comes to worse one of us can pick them up and ship them to an APO address for you.

Good to see you on the forums btw...  as for the event as Claymore said we're scrambling a bit...  I'm sure we'll be ready to go in a month Wink

Is there anything over there that you're missing or need?

Greetings from Iraq just wondered if there was a need for any of these mounts.

Bob

I could use the rhino arm...  I'd like to have a spare for my pvs-7's.

You want to talk to Goat...  without seeing it and hearing what it's doing, I can only guess whats wrong...  but Goat should be able to tell you exactly by looking at it.
13  Public Forums / General Discussion / Re: Comtac problems on: March 16, 2010, 02:26:45 PM
right the Motorola one. I'm  getting a new radio sometime soon, so I will probably have to get a new ptt

I'm not sure, you might have to get a new headset...  Depends on exactly how it's wired...  I'll be able to test it on our radios when you bring it saturday.
14  Public Forums / General Discussion / Re: Comtac problems on: March 16, 2010, 02:15:05 PM
Well first, the pic that JLS posted is the milspec TP120, which is what real military comtac's use...

I wish you had talked to one of us before buying that...  we don't use FRS/GMRS freq's so it's not going to be able to talk to us...

I'll try and take a look at it Saturday if I have time, but it sounds like a bad wire...  or maybe some dirt or something in the mic jack on the talkabout itself.

Make sure the jack on the radio is clean and push the headset all the way in...  Also, just to verify the radio you're testing on is a Motorola Talkabout correct?  not something else?

What radio are you connecting them to?  Also what does the pin-out look like on the headset and the connection between the ptt and the headset look like?
